RENOISE OSC SEQUENCER

Reference

Tracker events

Every visible effect column on a track beginning with [OSC] can contain an OSC event.

Create the track

  1. Choose Tools → OSC Sequencer → Create OSC track.
  2. The tool creates [OSC] Cues with four visible effect columns.
  3. Add or remove effect columns normally in Renoise. The tool reads every visible column.

Enter events

LINE FX 1 FX 2
00 01 FF 10 80
01 .. .. .. ..
04 02 FF 10 A0
08 01 FF 10 40

The first pair is the mapping ID. The second pair is its value from 00 to FF. Empty columns do nothing. Multiple columns on one row are sent in column order.

Use an otherwise silent track. Renoise may recognize some two-character commands as native effects, but a track without notes or instruments has no sound for those effects to alter.

Playback

Enable Send [OSC] tracks during playback. The tool compiles the song sequence when playback begins and sends events as Renoise crosses their positions. Edits made while stopped are included on the next play. Press Recompile after changing automation during playback.
